Getting things done

“Politicians are too worried about elections,” he said. “We did a terrible thing when we supported the idea of getting rid of Saddam Hussein. He was the only one who could control that country. It was the same [with the Taleban]. We move into countries and we have no idea of the culture. The Americans probably thought Bosnia was a town in Miami. There are people starving in Africa and we sit back and do nothing but we get involved in things we should leave alone.” Timesonline
"Doing drugs is the most beautiful thing about being in a rock band."
"At a U2 or Coldplay concert there is always a message about poor people or people dying from hunger.
"OK, but can't we just have a nice evening? Do we always have to feel guilty?"Skynews

I don't understand why these interviews sparked controversies today .
Given that Bernie Ecclestone and Noel Gallagher are speaking here, and not Voltaire and mother Teresa, they had the courage to say some big truths [according to their points of view of course, but they're not alone], like it or not .

People with nothing to lose, or self-built people are sometimes more truthful than we think. Their success or monies are not built on the shoulders of others. They can say what they want to.

Not like those measly politicians tho!
